Job Description

Due to the current health concerns, JOS is offering a Fully Remote Internship for social media/marketing positions. We are an IT and Cybersecurity consulting firm expanding our platform and brand to a broader and younger market to create a dynamic and secure user experience in the 21st century.

A Social Media Intern, or Social Media Marketing Intern, is responsible for assisting in a range of marketing initiatives within an organization. Their duties include tracking analytics for social media campaigns, creating social media posting schedules, and writing captions for social media posts. As a Social Media Intern, you help build our social media presence and brand voice by developing content for platforms, writing press releases and fact sheets, executing new product launch strategies, creating new relationships with youth and community leaders, and updating and maintaining a master media list.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of a Social Media Intern include:

  • Distinguish, grow and engage with clients’ online audiences. Support the digital media staff to develop and implement outreach and promotional campaigns to boost brand engagement and increase revenue.
  • Assist with the design and execution of social media campaigns
  • Create weekly and monthly editorial calendars to promote company brands on various social media websites
  • Create and distribute forms of content, including blogs, vlogs, graphics, cinema-graphs, and other creatives (i.e., press releases on social media and traditional news outlets)
  • Track social media engagement to identify high-performing ideas and campaigns for scalability
  • Support the marketing team at live and online events
Requirements:
  • A self-starter who is creative, collaborative, resourceful, attentive to detail, passionate, and flexible.
  • Applicants under 18 years old, provided it is legally allowed for the job and location.
  • Applicants with gaps in their resume or who have been out of the workforce for the past 6 months or more.
  • Applicants just entering the workforce or returning to the workforce with limited experience and 
    education.

Time Management:
Interns are responsible for following in-office schedules, attending strategy meetings, weekly reflections, and completing assigned objectives. Interns will have to be able to manage their time to have success in the position effectively.
Relationship Building:
Interns will be asked to work with other interns and managing partners to complete a project.
Marketing Knowledge:
Interns will learn the difficulties, obstacles, and the importance of marketing.
Industry Knowledge:
Interns will have the opportunity to learn several industries outside of marketing, including but not limited to IT and Cybersecurity, Nonprofit Organization, and Business Management.
Communication Skills:
Interns will learn how to effectively communicate with work colleagues, clients, and most importantly, the clients’ customers.

Job Description

Due to current health concerns, JOS is offering a Fully Remote Internship for a motivated student or recent graduate to participate in the organization’s Procurement and Acquisition operations, including administration, research and development, and customer relations. The internship includes formal instruction, experiential learning, skill-building, and on-the-job training. This position is best suited for someone with a strong interest in Business Procurement and Acquisitions, specializing in government contracts and IT. This opportunity is initially open for the Spring 2022 semester, with the potential to consider an extension to Summer and Fall 2022 should it be mutually agreeable.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Dive immediately into all facets of our procurement processes.
  • Assist with acquisition research for contracts and small business utilization representatives.
  • Partner with our national/international contract managers to develop a comprehensive understanding of interested DOD contracts.
  • Proposal research and understanding RFI and RFP processes; learning the grant protocols for local, state, and government requests.
  • Schedule phone and video interviews with procurement managers about specified programming.
  • Help us build robust pipelines for open contracts by creating and maintaining a database with the JOS executive team.
  • Support the Acquisition Manager with various steps of the onboarding process.
  • Provide support to the Executive team on additional projects as needed.
WHO YOU ARE
  • Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in or related to IT and/or Business Administration.
    Able to work East Coast hours.
  • Passionate about IT/cybersecurity research and the processes for finding new DOD contracts.
  • Looking to gain hands-on experience in Government Acquisition and Procurement processes.
  • Highly detail-oriented and highly organized.
  • Have a level of customer service orientation and provide excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Able to effectively prioritize multiple tasks with varying degrees of urgency and importance.
    Not afraid to ask questions to ensure understanding and are humble enough to ask for help when needed.

Job Description
We are currently seeking a friendly and highly skilled Technical Support Engineer to provide enterprise-level support to our vast customer base. This technician must be able to provide support via phone, web, email, chat, and other channels as needed. Excellence in customer service skills is a must. A background in IT support or engineering is also required. We are looking for a self-motivated person who is willing to take ownership of customer issues reported and see those problems through to resolution. Ideal candidates will be comfortable researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and identifying solutions to resolve any issues presented. S/he must also be able to follow standard procedures for proper handoff of unresolvable issues to the appropriate internal teams in order to maximize customer satisfaction. Duties include maintaining computer systems including software and hardware on desktops and laptops, resolving Internet and network access issues (both wired and wireless), providing network printer support and determining causes of computer/software/network malfunctions.
